Re: 636 triple question
i put the triple on a flat surface, stem facing up, and the bottom of one of the clamps lays perfectly flat and the other has a huge gap. the triple looks twisted. checked it with a straitedge too.

Re: 636 triple question
i got the bike like this. wondering the same thing. how did they bend the triple, but the forks are still strait. i guess the forks are stronger than the triple

Re: 636 triple question
how can you test it to find out whats jacked
i picked up an 06 636 and i thought the forks were twisted in the triples , but to me its starting to look like one of the triples is bent

Re: 636 triple question
Take the bottom tripple off and lay it on a 100% flat and smooth surface, both clamps should sit completely flat on the bottom. If you hold one side down flat and the other has any gaps between it and the flat surface the tripple is bent.....

Re: 636 triple question
yes but u can ONLY use one spanner nut under the tripple. because the stem is a tab shorter then 03/04...
though on the 05+ 636, when u run the tripple flipped, u want to run 3 spanner nuts.

Re: 636 triple question
just loosen your tripple tree bolts and leave theclip-ons tightend under the top tripple and bang the wheel against somthing sturdy like a BMX bike till its straight.. sometimes just loosening the tripples they willturn back straight for you.

Re: 636 triple question
if the clip-ons are tight & under the trpple and the stem nut is tight No they will NOT slide through.. just loosen the4 tripple tree botls, sit on the seat, roll bike tp a wall, and turn the bars and hit it against the wall till the wheel is straight, Don't hit the rotors
