man you really need to be covering that back break or you'll be kissing that tail bye-bye sooner than later also, you should take those sliders off and put a cage on, then you could re-use the frame sliders on top of your cage, like I did, if you want.

Cool Re: fairings or no fairings

I know, I know I need to start covering the brake. I just never have, but I think it's allowed me to gain a little better throttle control over time.
I usually ride w/the ***** of my feet on the pegs, so I have to modify my style a bit.
Questions:
Should I bend the rear brake lever down a touch?
Also, do you kindof "Ride" the brake or just be ready to tap it if in trouble???

On the cage tip, I'm working on it trust me. That's next on the "Wish list".
Thanx for the responses, btw.

If you are not using the brake on faster wheelies then you must be just ridin em out to the rev limitor...using the brake will allow you to keep the same speed, speed up or slow down. With slow whoolies, you use the brake to keep yourself behind bp against the idle...

I'm sure someone will explain it much better than me...

Oh, and bend the brake lever down??...I usually have to raise it from the stock position in order to use it in a wheelie...

Cool Re: fairings or no fairings

What about the "Coverage"??
Do you guys "Ride" the brake or just keep ure foot above it at the ready???

But yeah, I'm just maxxing out 2nd gear basically, but I'm just getting to the point where I'm really keeping it up for what now is starting to feel like could go on and on.
I would def hit the rev lim. in 1st, but 2nd allows me to stretch it out pretty good.

Re: fairings or no fairings

I try to keep my f4i full fairing as much as possible, no matter how many zipties it takes. I dont mind streetfighter fronts though on some bikes, like my f2's look way better imo w/ no sides or front lol.

in a fast wheelie you dont need to use your brake, engine brake should be enough to keep the same speed, just cover the brake incase you get brain fade or arm pump or a big gust of wind or some thing like that

Re: fairings or no fairings

When you first start clutching up first gear you're gonna end up riding the brake to keep it at and behind bp to keep it slow. You'll prob go through a couple sets of brake pads but that's just part of the learning curve. Eventually you'll learn to use body position and minor throttle inputs more and brake less, but for now, just mash the brake.... watch out for brake fade though

I cant see with full fairings does that make it more gangsta? If I had a choice I would rock completley stock no cage or nothing, but i crash so I take my fairings off...
