My 1st F4i...PROBLEM!

I jut bought an f4i stunt bike out here in san diego that used to be riden by scarry gary or hurricane james from FL, whenever they visited, so ivew been told, anywho, I'm having a major issue with the idle. I have two idle cables. the stock cable is set normal, the other one i use for idle tricks works too. BUT, when i start it, it sounds ok, and revs ok(quick responce, revs quickly die down), but about 5 seconds later the rpms go way up... then settle back down. from then on, every time i rev the F-ing thing, it purs abnormally long, and takes a few secs to die back down. The throttle boddies looked fine when i looked a few weeks ago. Also, at times it sounds so bad that it sounds like its only on 3 cylinders.
Am i getting a bad mixture? is there a sensor problem? What in the HELL would cause the rpms to just jump way up within exctly 5 seconds after i start it. Oh by the way, this sucks when i am relying on a little engine braking to bring me back from behind bp. I dont always use the hand brake. second idle or not, the f-ing bike should immediately start to engine brake when im riding street with a normal idle set, but no, it takes like 2 seconds for the damn thing to actually srat engine braking. It PISSES me off.
i see other threads just like this one, but no good answers to the 5 second idle issue.
WTF?

My bike has similar issues but if i ride it the rpms stall then jump up like i have a slipping clutch. And my bike has this horrible gurgly purring sound out of the exhaust. As if it's running to rich, and all this happend when i tried to add a secondary idle cable.

Removing the cable and installing the factory screw didnt make a difference. I already tried doing that a few days ago.

Re: My 1st F4i...PROBLEM!

the rpm jump 5 secs after u start it, cus the f4i has an automatic high idle when its cold.....and after it is warm if u have ur rpm turned up for idle tricks, and rev it slighty it comes down a lil slowly cus the idle is up.....u dont have a problem its normal

Re: My 1st F4i...PROBLEM!

Loose the stock cable.

Take off the tank and make sure your throttle boddies are in Sync. No not N'Sync like the boyband - In Sync as in make sure they are synchronized to one another. With the throttle closed the butterflys should all have the same ammount of gap from the butterfly to the inside of the intake walls. If one of them is off it will give you an inconsistant idle. If that doesn't work out I would try a new fuel pressure regulator and some new plugs are always nice.
