F4i problem

I know this is the wrong place but it seems like nothing gets checked in the repair and maintenance forum.

I added another idle cable. Well, ever since i installed it the bike runs like ****. Feels like the bike runs real rich and has no power and has a nasty purring sound when i give it gas.

I installed the idle cable on the right side:

I put the bike back together and it ran like ****. So i search the forums and i find pics from Schwartz mounting it on the left side. Here's the forum...https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/443...f4i+idle+cable

So i take out the idle cable and screw back in the factory screw with the white paint. Then i mount the idle cable to the left side like the pics Schwartz posted.

Now it's on the left side:

And the bike **** runs like crap. Bike always ran fine until i messed with this mod today.

How do i fix this problem?

Re: F4i problem

Make sure all the throttle bodies are tight and not leaking, you can spray carb cleaner on it when it's running to find the leak. You should also have left the stock adjuster in it's place. Change your plugs.

Re: F4i problem

Yo sambo i replied your PM. my problem at the time was i forgot to correctly attach the sensor on the left of the airbox, therefore the mixture was bad!

Throttle bodies are solid. I never messed with the stock idle cable. I only moved it to stock rpms before i installed the 2nd cable. I had already pulled the plugs out and cleaned them. They looked fine but i try some new plugs

Re: F4i problem

disconnect two of your plug wires, hold it wide open throttle and look into the throttle bodies to make sure your fuel injectors are flowing while it trys to turn over

Re: F4i problem

aha! so you did hook it up wrong in the first place.

Remember what I told ya on the phone last night? replace the plugs they're trash now... and put the stock air filter back in. those after market ones are booty. Don't make it out to be some mystery.
