Sambo, can you get the details of what was done to your bike to fix it, and what the problem was to begin with. let me know, it would help a ton. It would help the mechanic i am taking my f4i to, just to get him pointed in the right direction. The probs you were having with the "purring", bad idle, etc. is exctly what is going on with my 01' F4i.

Your mechanic needs to sync the throttle bodies.

That is the way it's suppose to sound after doing that new idle adjustment. The mechanic used analog vacuum gauges to sync the throttle bodies as close as possible.

Since people hook up the new idle cable to one of those set screws, the throttle bodies will never be perfectly sync.
