Re: F4i problem
check to see if the fuel ine is kinked. if thats not it, let it warm up then set ur idle cables (missadjutment can make it run like ****). if it still acts funny ground the plug under the seat and check codes. maybe tp sensor or fuel press reg.

Re: F4i problem
I would and am going to try this check list
stock air filter
new plugs
tps sensor
crank sensor
fuel regulator
sync the throttle bodies
coil packs
set stock idle at 1000 - 1200
timing chain tensioner> APE manual tensioner
check for vacumm leaks
these are the things i believe should be looked at or checked

Re: F4i problem
I know your serious.
I messed with the little screws last night and it started to sound a little better but it still runs like ****. Just not as bad as before.

Re: F4i problem
The different exhaust noise sounds like it has a gurgly purr that never used to be there. And the bike feels like it has a slippin clutch, and it back fires when i come to a stop.
It feels like and sounds like its running rich. But when i pulled the plugs, the little ring inside is almost light brown to white. As if the bike is running lean.

Re: F4i problem
Not necessarily. It had that sound when i had a foul plug a while back from having bad gas. But all that has been done and fixed. This problem happend the day i added the second idle cale to the right side.

Re: F4i problem
honestly it sounds like the fuel pressure regulator is bad and is dumping too much gas ... i would throw a new fuel pressure regulator on or maybe borrow one from someone to test it, at least rule it out

Re: F4i problem
yeah, that's a good test too. you can do that or you can use one of those digital point and shoot temp guns from like autozone or somethin and read the individual cylinders and tell which one is not firing or getting too much fuel.
