well i just got back from my doctor. my 3 ribs are compleatly broken two are shattered one is fully displaced. because there the floating ribs on the bottom the two that are shattered need to be wired becuase they could cause internal damage in the futre. word to every one never flip stoppies. i hert my self this time more than i thought i did.

when they wire your **** back together it does heal fast as hell ...
collar bone wired heals in two weeks collar bone not wired takes months if it's a complete fracture,ribs should be about the same

Yeah mike... wired or plate is the way to go.. I made it out to the ATL ride.. Pelvis shattered in 5 pieces a month before. I got a plate and 6 screws.. been about 2 months now and I am almost 100%

I flipped a stoppie really hard last summer, I guess it knocked me out for a second and the bike landed in the middle of my back. Aside from the roadrash, a sprained right wrist, and a sore torsoe(ribs, stomach,...) I was fine in 15 minutes. I was wearing a helmet, ICON spine protector, and MX gloves........oh yeah, I have layers of fat protecting my bones too! Maybe it helps to be fat sometimes? haha
