gettn a job with the "MAN" let me hear your input ...recently i took a test to be able tobe put on a list to be hired as a cop..well its been a year since i heard any thing so i went on with my life continued stuntin and gotten off easy per say 
so my record is clean....now that i put it out of my mind the f#ckers call and are basically telling me i got the job cause my record is spotless...now....do i take this job {60k a year}and continue stuntin and be easy on fellow stunters or just say skrew it FTP!!!!

that does not sound right because i am currently in a police academy and here in california you need a post certificate before you can work as a peace officer, might be different in Chicago but trust me if all you care about is the money DO NOT get into this field of work, as corny as it sounds you should really have a passion and not want it for the money, its not just a bunch of run and shoot games, most of your time will be spent writing reports and most people fail out during there FTO program because they can not write a well report, all im saying is really think about it.

60k as an entry level cop? most people have to major in a science field to start with that kind of $$. hell, everyone should be trying out for the police dept then. or maybe thats why so many are ********, cuz they're just in it for the money.

Remember Danno, McGarret is still your boss, so even in Hawaii, the 5-0 's have to follow orders from a superior. I don't think you will start as a Lt. or something like that. You'll be taking it as easy on us as they tell you too, and don't forget that oath, the cameras are rolling everywhere now!
Have you even tested yet? Background, physical, or mental eval.? Ben in the Militay?
4 me, too much of a microscope deal....I wouldn't want to be under one for 25-30 years(if retire). Not to mention, by then I would be too old to enjoy my life how I want too, not how they say I'm supposed to.
NOT 60 g's is ok, hard to believe for entry level(almost think this is a bs thread)
I agree with Mrgixxer84, you better love the job, and they money doesn't matter.

I know some will get on here and say they know cool cops and all, and I have too for a minute, then they change after time. They suck and hate on anyone riding on 2 wheels. Not too mention around here they are corrupt as hell. FTP for life!

Base sallary, $20k
Kick backs , $20k
Reselling conviscated drugs, $10k
Extorsion and blackmail dont come until 3rd and 4th years
Again, these are all "potential earnings" for first year on the force. Some will do better than others. Obviously as you grow, your base goes down but your others should increase. Im sure they slowly ween you off sallary until you are fully commision.

60 G's is alot of dough - especially considering you'll prolly never pay another ticket in your life.
You pretty much have to ask yourself if you want a career in a field where you are hated, feared, appreciated, and saluted - all on the same day.
