i just wonderin.what is so great about using db bars on a sb? ive always wondered that.are they lighter or summtin?

some ppl are running those tag, pro taper, etc but most bikes i see with dirt bars seem to have these.. i kno steve is runnin em....

600 rr front end by the way
might sound stupid but why does the bars have anything to do with hitting the tire to rad.? are u runnin it lowered with clip ons on top?

because the 600rr's have the bars underneath the triple so the forks are about an inch and a half shorter. when u put the forks on a f4i u need the bars on top.

thats what i thought, but i run the 954 front end with the clip ons on top and just knocked a hole in my radiator 2 hrs. ago im so pissed. cant keep a radiator on this P.O.S. first the tabs now this

mine was always fine, just be sure those brake line mount things are secured away from radiator

doesn't make a difference. The actual forks are shorter on the 1000rr and 600rr, I had 954 triples and it was still too short with the clip-ons on top the triple.

On F4i's you need to reinforce the radiator where it mounts and may have to pull the radiator closer to the headers and remount it there to keep the front wheel from touching, even with 929/954 front ends. It works perfect on my 600rr, but it came with shorter forks than the 954 forks, so its about the same length on there now with the clip-ons on top. I believe the stock F4i forks are longer than my stock 600rr forks so it makes sense it could cause trouble. I may just put springs in the front end and run heavier fluid versus a front end swap on it to avoid those issues.
