Re: Boycott Hooters
Im gonna go out on a limb here and make a comparison. Bear with me.
Remember a couple months back when everyone was tryin to boycott stuntlife, and go to stuntusa? Stuntlife is all corporate and bad, bla bla bla. Everyone seemed to be on the bandwagen, and agreed. Stuntlife was evil, and nobody should post.
The stuntlife boycott lasted for all of about five minutes, maybe even an hour. Stuntusa is still dead, and everyone is here.
Now we have this guy. Boycott HOOTERS. Even if people said they will, nobody will actually follow through. That place will still be packed with bikers and the like, I GARAUNTEE(sp) IT.
The same OR equivilant crowd will be there next week. Maybe this is a bad comparison, but you all see what Im gettin at.
Carry on.

Its the same thing as myspace. Look at myspace, the whole 5 minutes i was a member on myspace, all you see is stupid chain letter bullitens, and stupier boycott ideas. You see them from Boycott Target, to **** The Troops. It's just kids trying to make something big happen, so they can be like "oh i started that"
BUT, i dont think in this case thats what he's trying to do, i think it was more just him venting, and showing he now hates hooters cause he they got told off.

Re: Boycott Hooters
Gam your killin me! I leave and all of the sudden you guys are going to Wilmington? and riding with D1 Ryan/ WTF?????? You suck, I hate you!
Get your *** up here for Psychofest and Stuntfest and bring everyone with you. Back to the thread:
First off, I think most are missing a major point here. Hooters is a major corp and just think of the possibilities if they let stunters ride in their lots and host bike nights that are stunter friendly. Because its a corp, this could lead to others doing the same, maybe in your town. However everyone is quick to just look at the small pic of a few stunters loosing a spot to ride rather than possibility of what could be.
**** all the haters on the thread too! For the ones that said they like T&A and are going to hooters for it I hate to be the one to tell you that your missing out on a lot more. Not too mention their food down right sucks. Go down and visit Gam, they welcome all stunters and I guarentee they will show you a good time.
Gam, unfortunately Stunting is not a unified front on anything, let alone a couple of riders' attempt to organize a boycott. As much as I hate to agree with Cathi, j/k I think you should go back and try to win the manager over and try to set presidence for the rest of us. I know its a lot to ask as the rest of the stuntworld hates on anyones attempt to do anything that would bennefit the sport...(Look what they do to Kane)
Oh and by the way, I still hate you for the above...dick!

Re: Boycott Hooters
We *use to* have a bike night here in Cali in the city of West Covina............everything was cool for a while........there was no stunt shows or anything....just hundreds, literally, hundreds of riders would come down hang out, mingle go inside grab a beer and some wings............then....a bunch of peeps would show up and and start doing burn outs....leave the spot doing wheelies........racing on the freeways, 1 guy died on the way home from racing................needless to say the local PD wasnt very happy, so they contacted the Hooter's and the management told us we were not welcome there for bike night anymore......the PD even went so far as sitting in the parking lot waiting for riders to pull up, park....and walk around with thier ticket book in hand ready to give ANY type of violation...............

Re: Boycott Hooters
HAHA that what I was thinking. Go find another spot. Everything is a liability. Take your efforts writing a novel here on stunt life and find another lot.

Re: Boycott Hooters
Maybe we should cancell stunt shows everywhere then, Maybe you dont got enough experience or controll not to "shoot your bike into the crowd". But I never had that problem all the years Ive been riding. Seriously thats not my show ender, and Im not a millionaire like you so I cant purchase spendy insurance every Wednesday night. We also keep squids off the lot so you couldnt ride anyway. So go grab your ***** back off your boyfriend, and if people stand too close thats not my problem. People need to be responsible for themselves and if someones doing somethin you think is dangerous ****** leave. end of story, everyone has free will so leave and take your kid so squiddy cant "splatter a kid into the pavement."

Re: Boycott Hooters
****! I don't know what y'all complaining about... I gotta spend $300 bucks to catch a plane to Miami in order to see a Hooters! But on the real, just be grateful for the time you did have their... You've moved somewhere else now and it's working out, just keep positive and keep riding! Bless...

Re: Boycott Hooters
i like hooters only for bike nights and hangin out. their food is way overpriced and they have stupid mandatory gratuity if you have more than 2 people which is dumb, and that ***** like 20%. i'll tip if i feel like it. heres a tip for ya, dont smoke in bed !!!
as far as the liability thing, i hear that nonsense all the time when ridin somewhere and how they say if i hurt myself i can sue. that takes alot of dough and yes hooters is a multi billion dollar business so there is no way you are going to win, so i dont know how they can stress about that.
but if your bike does go flying into the crowd and u kill a kid that is a whole other story, not to be redundant i know dude already posted that

Re: Boycott Hooters
You said it yourself Mr. ToolBox, "if someones doing somethin you think is dangerous ****** leave. end of story, everyone has free will so leave and take your kid so squiddy cant "splatter a kid into the pavement." So they exercised the freewill of the Hooter proprioter, and made YOU leave. You dont own the place, and its "Hooters", not "******* and garbage whoolies in the parkinglot wing shop" Get over it, stop whinning, go to your new spot, and boycot all the bewbies YOU want, but your an idiot to ask men with ***** to stop patronizing the bewbie shop.
