help/how to: f4i subframe on F3
Can you bolt a f4i subrame onto a F3 frame to get rid of the banana seat and have to seats. If so will the f4i tail fairing sit flush , and how hard is this to , do you have to modifiy anything or does it preety much just bolt right up?

F3 has a welded subframe. You would have to cut that one off and weld the f4i one on there. But Im not sure if you can weld aluminum to steel, but maybe. good luck, f3 was my first stunt bike and I always wished I could do that, hope you do it.

you'd have to cut the f3 subframe off and drill mounting holes for the f4i sub, as far as the seat goes im sure you'll have to make new brackets. a good tig welder can make anything fit. as far as how clean it will look that all depends on how u make ur brackets.

that would be the way to do it.my boy had a f2 back in 96 with a solo seat and sub off a gsxr 750.it looked weird but worked.you have to cut the sub off, measure how long the tabs would have to be so the sub would sit right and just drill and bolt it in.you will have to figure out the seat brackets but it can be done and really isn't that hard.you can even do it with out welding if you take your time.good luck

check out the cbr forums, theres a cpl ppl on there that did whole f4i bodies on the f2/f3's. My boy bought one of my f2's and we were going to do the f4i body on it but its going naked stunter instead lol

Re: help/how to: f4i subframe on F3
easiest way to do it is just run the stock subframe and fab brackets to mount the seat/tail plastics. cbrworld.net has a ton of info on f2/f3 stuff. They are getting to be dinosaurs it seems, not alot of ppl are still rocking them.
