Make sure your tires dont have flat spots from sitting so long. Change the oil, lube your chain, tire pressure, new gas, maybe change the brake fluid and bleed the brakes (I would do that after a winter sitting) Check your seals and lines too for cracking and stuff
Was the RR on the stands or just sitting with the kick down?

sorry bout crtch's sarcasm, but dude u gotta expect someone to be an *** to u after some of ur posts, but i give u props, this was a good thread by you asking legitimate questions. if it starts up fine then electrical n plugs are cool, check battery for corrosion, check lights and signals n indicators for proper accuracy and that they're working. guess it wasn't rained on too much cus u say it was inside 5 months, how long has it been gone? honestly, y'd it get taken for? cus i had my bike taken for some dumb crap! anyways, nuthen should be wrong with the frame, forks, wheels, chain or anything unless u crashed it previously, if so check around the neck and welds as well as other stress points for cracks and errosion, let me know boss.

My f2 sat for awhile the first time i dropped it . It started right up .
If the tank was still filled with gas , maybe drain it . But i'm gonna say it will still fire up with the old gas and be alright .
Just lube the chain , check tire pressure , make sure it has oil , fire it up , let it idle a minute , run it a mile or two to get the oil warm , then change the oil (along with the filter) .
If the battery is dead , do a slow charge on it and it should still be ok .
