progressing kinda

my friend and I went out. I practiced rolling burnouts and wheelies.

clutching wheelies that is. i was dropping the clutch around 5000 rpms going ~5mph and the front would come up 6 or so inches i think I'm always on the rear brake ready to use it and not trying to learn anything too fast. my bike is 2 down 2 up.

here is a pict of it. yeah i know im a loser bc i dont have wheelies down yet

my friend took my bike dropped it at 7-8 and it went about 3-4 feet up and he would just gas it from there to get it higher.

I found at 5000 when dropping it the bike would bog as soon as it came up. basically i leave the gas the same and just drop the clutch sitting back in the seat. I need more practice. but clutching is definitely the way i feel more in control.

here's some picts of of my friend im too pitiful for picts as of yet.

I'll just keep practicing slowly and eventually I'll get it.

about rolling burnouts... I would be going about 20 then hit the front brake put weight on front and then drop clutch at a low rpm. sometimes it worked sometimes it didnt. when it did work my front tire would wobble back and forth. im guessing too much brake? also I need to put more weight on the front after watching a short vid of me trying one.

video i have to say is the best way I can learn how to do this stuff.

here's the vid of me trying a rolling burnout.. i totally fucked up. the vid shows i need to drop clutch instead of slipping and put body a lot more forward.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvBhizT7c4k

thanks guys. yeah i know im a noob to the stunting scene

Re: progressing kinda

Holy huge 12 bar!!!!LOL Gas it more for a burn out and don't slip it slow.. Good way to burn your clutch. It will take more than 5k to get it up also. Don't look at the tach. Go by engine sound. Give it more gas everytime till it gets to where you want it. Take your time. Do like your friend and buy a beater. If your afraid of dropping your bike it will take forever to progress. Good luck!!!

Re: progressing kinda

when gasing and front braking just take a slightly harder grab on front brake for a second then the back will break loose and you can go from there, sucks when the front tire slides

Re: progressing kinda

squid originated from not wearing gear and riding like an idiot.

sorry i cant just jump on the bike and be awesome. this is my 2nd time taking the bike out trying stuff.

give me time and I'll get good.

i bet you didnt pop out 12's and circles the first time u tried stunting ur bike. hell this is the internet so i dont know you. you probably will lie and say u did.

this thread was made to get advice not to get harassed by 'experts'.

I realize I'm not good i suck *** , I'll be the first to say it but hey we all needa start somewhere right? Im looking for advice so please hold the insults/trollz for some other thread, or ur wife in the trailer.

Re: progressing kinda

well you have an fi cage and can't balance a wheelie at all so maybe you should have spent that 300 at the starboyz wheelie school for nubs

Re: progressing kinda

Dont worry bout a thing man..it comes with time..last year i couldn't bring the wheel up more than a foot and couldnt clutch for shi teither. I take my bike out now and clutch it 1st 2nd.. np ..dont really have a good spot to practice so i dont know how long i can ride them out... but hey man there is a slow progress so i'm happy the way it goes....dont pay attention to people braking ur ballz...take it as motivation to get better and practice.
