Re: New 2007 ICON gear

i like icon, they make good street gear, while everybody else is making race gear. the jackets, gloves, and pants are top notch, but i cant stand their helmets or boots, those are garbage. and i sure wish they didnt have a 2 foot wide logo on everything, why would i want to be a walking billboard? if i'm gonna advertise for somebody they better sponsor me or pay me to do it. i got this little urban tank bag that transforms into a backpack, and the logo has to be in 15 different ******* places, when just 1 or 2 will do.

yeah man, I love the gear, and actually think the helmets and boots(i rock the superduty boots), are really comfortable....
I came from stunting in skate shoes, and it took me a couple days to get used to the boots, but I really like em now, and they will provide way more protection than any skate shoe....

As for the big logos on the gear..... I think they do not look bad at all.... it's not like the ICON logo is cheesy, and on most of the jackets think the logos look good...

I know if I was running the company, I would be doing the same thing...

Even though it took you a little while to realize you could adjust the boot strap

Re: New 2007 ICON gear

i have an icon helmet, the mainframe rubatone, which is identical to that helmet but with a rubbery finish. and after it became so smelly you could drop it on baghdad and wreck the place i decided to get an arai and arai is the most comfortable helmet i have ever owned.

Re: New 2007 ICON gear

i gotta wear a glo vest on base, and i bought the Mil Spec mesh vest, all i have to say is that thing is worth double its weight in gold. When i get off base, if i dont have a backpack, ill wear it under my long sleeve shirt or jacket... i went down due to falty front brakes going 65ish.... i was wearing the vest under my jacket, and the icon riding jeans... the only marks i had on me were my left palm, my glove (icon as well) the palm shredded off, but left only a little rash.. and on the outside of one of my ankels where the road tore through my sock. that was it. So, i can testify that icon will hold its own against the road... the helmet was icon, but i got an HJC to replace it.
