True or False?

Re: True or False?
No
I dont know much about Hondas but you should never have to worry about that. Putting in a power commander just proportions the air to fuel mixture. It would help a lot but its not necessary. Plus from what I have heard, power commanders are way to expensive and not enough results for the money.

Yeah I've helped install them and scene the results after the Dyno test and it was not impressive enough to part with the $300.00 or so they cost. I can see if I had a full system but not witht the slip on.

Re: True or False?
Lol, yeah the first time I rode my 6rr I was in love. No warm up period, no hesitation, no choke, no spending all afternoon jetting the damn thing, the list goes on... I cant see ever going back to carbs.

Definately don't neeeeed it, wit s/o's.. U might have some popin, when ya let off the throttle, if a little back fire dosn't bother ya then don't worry about it... I think the pwr cmdr is more useful, for a track bike....

Re: True or False?
you don't need thats true but i do have one on my cbr1000rr and had a custom map made for mine since hotbodies doesn't make map's...HUGE difference. not so much in hp gain but just in overall delivery. and i think i did gain like 15-20hp as well. that was with exhaust and k&n filter

Re: True or False?
Pay the 100 bucks and have someone tune it on a dyno. That's the ONLY way to get it perfect for your location, climate, altitude, etc.
On Suzuki's you can just re-program the factory ECU - other bikes such as Honda's are an "open loop" fuel management system which means the computer is always "learning" and adjusting to temp, air density, etc.
So No, you don't need a power commander IMO.

Re: True or False?
Depends on what Ur doin with Ur bike, it improves throttle response and gives decent hp gains, depending on the system (full or so). An avid street ridder, would notice the diff.. But for stunting, I think ur money is better spent on gearing, brakes, and hand controls...ooh and a cage!
