ICON feild armor leg

Re: ICON feild armor leg
they are a very comfortable, icon quality set of pads that do save your legs from a beating. however i have more criticism then praise.
1. expensive. like $65 for the pair. bit more exp. than the run of the mill paintball pads.
2. thick, heavy. at first the padding seemed to be a good idea, but on a hot day they tend to tall to your ankles. not so much a bad thing but if your wearing shorts expect to pull them up every 5 minutes. paintball pads arent as comfortable but the ones ive got stick and dont require readjusting.
3. loose straps. im not the biggest guy in the scene but damn the straps on the bottom of the pads are just as long as the straps on top. makes for a good hold above/below the knee but not so much around the calf. again, somewhat insecure feel. eg if you bailed hard and slid they would pull off.

i have larger calfs and i still have to adjust them all the time also. My last crash fucked my knee up because they had slid down my leg and uncovered what they are supposed to protect. Other than that they are good shin guards

I Took A Blow To My Shin When I Broke My Ankle, As I Was Lying On The Ground That Was All I Could Think About. I Cant Even Imagine Adding Another Break To My Shin Too. I Like Mine, I Suggest Getting The Icon Or Any Other Similar Leg Protection.

i rock the fox shin guards... they seriously ROCK!!!! i never have to re-adjust em... and the velcro holds perfectly.
only bad thing about them is, that the knee part just hangs around there, and isnt secured to your knee... but when in use, they go where it needs to go.
+ they are 14 dollars!!!!

If you are looking for some serious knee guards and want quality. I suggest these. I dont know of anyone using them for stunting but when I use to dirt bike these where the ****. The nice thing is to is that if you have health insurance some companys will pay up to half of the cost too get a pair of these. But they are hella expensive. I think its like $1200 for a pair. But if you insurance company pays for half like mine its worth it definitely. I've taken some of the hardest hits that should of taken my knees out, but these things held up and supported.
