Re: idle mod f4i

take the origional adjustment cable off, grind the end of it down to the threads and then re install it inplace of the idle adjustment screw on the top of the throttle bodies. It will give you more powerful idle and it's easier to reach. That's what I have found anyway.

-no I dont have pics, someone else might.

You gotta get a second cable so you can leave your stock cable intact, otherwise your bike wont idle right

+1... your stock cable has to be in place on F4i's. If you had a 929 it would be different, you can eliminate the stock idle adjuster but on an F4i the initial startup is always vacuum.

Re: idle mod f4i

it has been a while since I did this, I don't remember swaping the screw and the adjuster, I just took the origional adjuster off I *think*. I will confirm, but the bike runs awesome.

Im sure the thread dia. and pitch would be the same for all the applications.
And yes you just screw it into where the throttle stop goes.
There are pics if you use the search on this one.

Re: idle mod f4i

If you're gonna get a cable GET A F4 cable. Its about 3 inches longer and is the exact same cable.
