SI cage, alumnium or derlin sliders?

Ok I just got my SI cage, and it didn't come with sliders like I thought it would..

If I kick my bike off the kickstand, it rolls up onto the bars.. So I think I need the sliders...

so what sliders, derlin or aluminum?

I like the plastic ones... I'd have to think that they slide better. But the aluminum will probably last longer. Although the plastic do last a long time too.

I've never actually crash tested the aluminum... but they sure do look pretty.

Re: SI cage, alumnium or derlin sliders?

i clapped my **** real hard on the delrin sliders, worked well, i also slide out alot practicin drifts and i still have a good amount of meat left on the slider...

clean up the holes where the slider goes before u put anything in it, i had to drill my sliders out cuz the aluminum backing got stuck

delrin is official and u can get it pretty cheap

I would imagine aluminum would bite pavement hard and cartwheel your ride. Delrin is soo easy to machine as well.

Sliders helped me on my FI cage! Just rubbed down the rubber a bit.... all i did was repainted it black and you really notice it at all...

like sucidl said they arn't really 'needed' but they are nice

without sliders i doubt i'l break a foot peg, or a stator cover.. but it looks like i have more of a chance to roll onto the bars.

I definetly know kicking it off the kick stand it rolls right onto the bars, then pops back down onto the cage/tires..

How is that???? Ive seen many of your posts and most of them dont make sense.... They are sold seperately. When you buy new shoes, do you get socks with them?? The sliders are not needed. We didnt even make slider until about 6-8 months ago. Weve been sellin cages for 2 years.
