I love 636 Clip-ons on my F4i

I have a 954 front end on my F4i and I LOVE 636 Clip-ons flipped on my bike. It already feels so much more comfortable and more stable. I haven't even rode the damn bike yet, but it just feels good already.

Anyone else running this config....

Re: I love 636 Clip-ons on my F4i

The only thing I'm worried about is that they'll fold in while in a spreader or something where you pull really hard on the bars. Anyone have problems with that? B/c the 954 clip-ons have a notch that locks the clip-ons in place.

Re: I love 636 Clip-ons on my F4i

haha on every bike i ever had i allways remove the centering bolts, those let the clip-on spin on the tube when u crash so clip-ons wont break... other then that i have never had a issue without the position bolt being in place

I'm just afraid to strip out the bolt when I'm tightening it. It's only aluminum, but I want to crank the bolt down so when I do spreaders or something where I really pull on the bars I don't want them to fold in while I'm doing that.

Re: I love 636 Clip-ons on my F4i

I also have 636 clips on my 954 and I love it!:YEAH
636 clip ons are longer than 92954 ones which gives you more room to mount a handbrake as example.

Yea, my 954 clip-ons were turned all the way out.. but I left the **** on them b/c they were a great reference point for me when I laid the bike down. But they were turned out. The 636 clipons are under my triple right now, but I'm going to try both... for now though i'll try the clipons on under the triple and see how it feels and then switch up. So far though they are at least an inch farther turned out and they feel about 1/2" or so higher than the stockers.
