Hey new to the fourms here. I had some questions for people that have a 05 or up 636. Im in the process of ordering a cage and sprocket along with a 12 bar from 905.

Now my bike has a yosh pipe on it now im thinking i might need it to be shortend from what ive seen to fit a 12 bar? And on the 905's site there is a new 12 bar for the new 636 called "under the plastics" now would this be a good one to buy or should i buy the regular 12? If at all do i need to shorten the exhuast?

btw im goin with the powers cage, i can get a good deal on them cause my freind is best freinds with the owner and ive heard nothing but great things about them.

sick innovations makes a sweet round bar for your bike its solid to i dont know if the 905 is. and you shouldn't have to cut down the length of the pipe with the sick innovations bar and they have 12 bars too

hey i went to there website and saw the round bar, i would rather have that 12 bar though. But i still need my rear taillight though sense it takes place of were it would be. Is there anyway i can make a rear brake light on the bike for the streets?

I had a 905 bar on mine with the stock exhaust but i took it off. The gets in the way cause it's so dam long to prtect the exhaust. I put an aftermarket exhaust on mine and cut it shorter. I replaced the 12 bar with a home made round bar that's just enough for my foot and to protect the exhaust.

The 905 would hit the ground when i would do sitdown circles and if you do foot in the bar it's a mile from your foot to the handlebars.

Plus, I wouldn't plan on doing bar tricks on the 05 636 cause the subframe is week as hell. All you really need is something to protect the exhaust in my opinion. scrapin a little is cool but be careful with that

hey thanks for the advice...only reason i want it is to prevent myself from flippin the bike or rippin the tail off

is there ne way to make the subframe stronger? lol

i agree with the homemeade roundbar too. my 905 bar kept breaking my subframe cause it stuck out so far, come to think of it everything i got from 905 broke something on my bike. it would be a good idea to get some quality parts to protect your bike.

so the round bar is better for the bike? wont break the subframe then?

I am trying to keep my bike streetable too. I have the si round bar. Anyone know of a way to hook up a brake light to this set-up?

im rocking the 905 flat bar. its nice. and if your just starting out id say go with that. i thought about going to a round bar but havent made my mine up yet....and dont go with a powers! call 905 and get both a cage and a bar from THEM. there new style cage works ******* great with the new 636. trust me thats what im running. let them know that i sent ya and they will take good care of ya!

Matt is working on no cut round bars for the 636, and he also has a subframe for the same. I think there sick as hell. There are pics on his page now.
