Re: Axle Sliders Or Not?
I noticed today, when I was out messing with my bike, that when it's laying down it tends to lean a little on the tail section. This is really the only thing bothering me now. I just replaced the tail section after my wreck back in September. I just put an undertail on too. Is there anything I can do to protect the tail or should I just not worry about it? I'm not going to be doing the big crazy stuff, not just yet anyway. I still need to get BP and maybe learn some stoppies. What do you guys think?

You have to drill and tap the swingarm to mount sliders... or go through the axle... either way, on a STUNT BIKE... it's a complete waste of time! Scratches will happen... it's the things that ruin a day of riding that you have to worry about... and all you need is a good cage to cover that.

Hey dude... not to be too much of a dick... but if those scratches are something that bother you, you should have picked a different hobby.

True...
All i'm sayin is you're not gonna rip your swing arm off or do any major damage to it w/out axle sliders... but there is the potential to do even more damage to your bike if you do use them.... that's all.

Powers is making axle sliders for your bike. They mount through the axle with a long threaded rod and will keep your swingarm off the ground. And its true that if you dont want to scuff up your bike, dont stunt, but thats no fun. My biggest thing about the Powers axle sliders is having a place to stand when doing 12 circles and what not, It gives you a new tool for stunting. Matter of fact, I saw a sick video where the guys had sliders on the front of the bike, had anther guy riding in front of him, the front guy got off the back of his bike and onto the front sliders and was "ghost riding". (looked funny, just like when we were kids riding on the spools on the front of our buddies BMX bike) Then they pulled back up to the lead bike and he jumped back on! It was sick.
