No Exhaust

is riding your bike without exhaust really bad for your motor? People always say different stuff about this. lets just say your running a GSXR-600 with headers but the stock can removed. will this really mess ur bike up?

Take the headers off to, you'll get more power

Re: No Exhaust

basicly motors are designed for backend pressure.. your exhuast valves utilize that pressure while opening. your timing, cam duration etc is all designed to compliment the pressure..

Re: No Exhaust

not running a muffler will melt your valves and deform them because of the lack of back pressure, but dont listen to me, do whatever the **** you want squidly one...

thats what I was looking for, thanks. reason i ask is because i have no exhaust and i dont have a can to replace it with and i still want to ride in the meantime. so i hope riding around this week without one wont be too bad. next week i should have a pipe for it.

if you dont have enough backpressure to overpower atmospheric pressure (due to lack of exhaust length), then colder ambient temperature air will enter your exhaust ports and warp your hot valves.

check the resume before talking **** to me son.
