Yamaha FZ1?

Alright.......I was planing on getting a Kawi Z1000 for my stunt piece, but the deal fell through. A good deal on a Yamaha FZ1 has popped up, though. Does anyone know of someone who stunts one? I like the idea of having something unique, but don't want a piece of ****. I really liked the feel of the "Z", and I would imagine the FZ1 would feel very similiar, being that they're both "Hooligan" bikes. What do you think?

Re: Yamaha FZ1?

Z1000 and FZ1 are diferent bikes.. Z1000 can be stunted, but sure its not the best bike http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lyzjD2H_Dg

edit: i think FZ1 is prolly the worse bike you cand find out if we talk about stuntriding! lol

I rode the Z1000, and that was sweet! Why do you think the FZ1 would be such a bad stunter? It's got basically the same geometry as the "Z".

haha i dont really know, i think bike doesnt looks enought "stuntable" or something i guess you can stunt her too.. i mean db bars, 1000cc, just make some necesary changes like handbreak cage etc and its done. Worse part is the tank imo. Looks small and its high lined on the bike so the denting job has to be VERY well done ask somebody with more stunt skills than me before buying the bike heh

Re: Yamaha FZ1?

The Z1000 is as sweet as it looks. It stunts reasonably well,
the Yamaha FZ1 is no way a piece of crap however.
It is just NO GOOD as the older Fazer1000. It looks sportier, yeah,
but it's uncomfortable, aggressive, and has quite a harsh throttle control.

I think the FZ1 is a step back from the Fazer 1000, more design but less substance.

Get on the Kawi.

Re: Yamaha FZ1?

I've actually come to the conclusion that it's the DB style bars that I like so much about the Z and that style machine. I found an '06 CBR600RR that was wrecked, in an insurance auction. I think if I throw DB bars on it, I'll appreciate it in the long run mostly because of wieght savings. Thanks for your input, it seems I've answered my own question.
