rear sprocket how big is too big?

I have a 06 gsxr600 and ive been getting into stunting alot lately and im trying to put some mods on it. stock its got 45 teeth and i found one thats got 54. i wanna make this thing a wheelie machine but i dont want it to top out at 80 either cause i still gotta drive on california highways. what size should i go with and whos got some more suggestions on exhausts and other mods for stunting. im not new to riding but im pretty new to the stunt thing so i dont know

Re: rear sprocket how big is too big?

its already a wheelie machine. you can go up 10 and it will pull harder under idle with ur slow stuff. it will also help with stalling. but seriously, you do not need to change ur gearing to do long highway wheelies.

-4/+30... should do the trick! Don't forget to tach it out and drop the clutch.

how is he supposed to know that if hes a newbie? All he was trying to do is find out some info . unless your like the representitive stunter mod? I dont remember voting on that.

Anyways ,youre question is how big is too big? Well for highway/lot riding go like 10 up . I use a 30 up and it tops out at around 75 it seems ,although I still clutch it up on the highway in 5th and 6th. youll figure it all out man do a little research and good luck..

Re: rear sprocket how big is too big?

I might be wrong but when my friend did his 06 600 he originaly tried -1 up front and 55 rear. But something with the swingarm pitch for the front sprocket it wouldnt work. So he just went 60T rear thing rides great.... little snappy but i liked it, wouldnt stunt such a nice bike if it was me but meh
