Re: Kawasaki Started It
I can walk into just about any dealership and pay dead cost and would never consider myself "sponsored" by any of them.

From Kawasaki's website:
http://www.kawasaki.com/NewsEvents/N...il.aspx?id=455
Kane “Insane” Friesen, 24 from Las Vegas, Nev. will ride the all-new 2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R sportbike in closed-course street extreme stunt competitions. The long-time Kawasaki owner and fan is known for his signature pink color scheme and his Guinness World Record breaking 137mph front wheel “stoppie”. Friesen will be Kawasaki’s first official competitor in street extreme stunt competition, attending closed-course stunt riding exhibitions, competitions, and “bike night” gatherings across the nation. As Kawasaki’s first ambassador to the sportbike stunt community, Friesen will promote legal, responsible riding and discourage stunting on public roads.
I dont think he will be hitting the streets at all

Re: Kawasaki Started It
honda may never do it soely because of their racing heritage.... they pride themselves on that, so i doubt they will do it... just like yamaha.
kawi and suzuki.... thats a different story.

what's up guy's just wanted to give my input on the subject. Looking at the market for sportbike sales in the U.S. It makes perfect sense which manufacturers are sponsoring riders currently. Everyone knows that Honda, suzuki, and yamaha are atop the food chain. And until this sport gets where everyone would like it to be, you won't see any of them step in.

Re: Kawasaki Started It
honda has no reson to invest money in to somthing that is not even a ligit sport yet... and kawi, suzuk, honda, and yami all pride themselves on a racing heritage...
it is all about the fact that kane makes a good "POSTER BOY"... i just dont think it was his skill and only his skill that got him that sponsor
