where to get chains??

where to get chains??

hey guys, just ordered a 50 tooth sprocket (+5) from Warped Toys :YEAH and I was wondering if Id be able to use my stock chain or if I have to swap it out?? If so, where can I get a chain for a descent price??

+5 you might be able to get away with it though.if any thing you'll just be half a link or so short.one tooth down in the front will solve it.i would wait till you get the sprocket,

u wont able to use ur stock chain..you should off gat a -2 in the front its like 6 in the back..u have have to ask someone to make u a custom chain i think add 2 links. ask someone on ebay to hook u up.

when you go down to much in the front you put all the strain on the tranny itself and you dont get the same engine brake that you do going up in the rear. +5 is not that much bigger and might even get away with it.i put a +7 -1 on a gsxr 750 and the stock chain worked with the adjusters all the way in.

really..i had a 50 toth all along and i never thought it wouldfit on my stock chain..i have a -1 in the front 2 and just ordered a -2 i guess i should try fit it on.

i'm pretty sure it will work the 6 and 750 gearing is pretty much the same.try it you have nothing to lose but 5-10 minutes

Do yourself a favor, whenever you get new sprockets typically you should get a new chain. Unless your chain only has like 1000k of it. A lot of people will say differently, but if you have never changed your chain do a full overhaul. Chain, sprockets, the works. Otherwise, try TuckerRocky

id say call vortexracing.com and ask them what size chain you will need on your bike given your sprocket setup.

they distribute chains and im sure will know exactly how many links u would need.
