kinda, but u wont be so lenient about going to far back, u'll closely monitor ur wheelie and throttle control.

gorilla scrape means when u have completely no mercy on the 12 bar, u scrape the shiit out of it

I love 12 bars but I think they all should be 1 o'clock bars. Unless you have a full tail with a round bar...that just looks so clean.

I can drag ss till it stops and I step off the bike with my roundbar does that count. It is almost scraped flat though. didnt take long.

looping hard with a bar usually costs more to the bike than a tail

with a bar the bike might corkscrew, or just bend the subframe...

I learned without a 12 bar, pros and cons:
Pros:
Learned brake control much better
Was good at scraping my bike really lightly and bringing it back

CONS:
ONCE I WRECKED I WAS FUCKED!

Either way, if you are just learning and you want a 12 bar don't even PLAN on hitting your 12 bar. Consider your 12 bar insurance... so that once you learn how to do a nice controlled wheelie you can eventually learn how to park your bike. So whatever you do, don't 12 your bike until you can rock damn near idle on your bike.
