Re: whats up with SSB Magazine..

this is a pretty serious topic and i would like to see more people's input on the magazine, but i think many people are a little leary to voice their opinions about the magazine fearing the fact that they may not get put in it after they speak their minds........that's cool....might as well keep supporting a magazine that we thought belonged to the "stunt community" for the past 3 years.....

a very important person in the industry said "the jokes on us"

oh so true.

remember the days of "hey, have you seen the magazine SSB????? dude, you gotta see it, go buy it!!" now we are looked upon as cartoon characters with little captions sticking our like a comic book.....stunt riding is taking the back seat, at least that's what i'm getting out of this whole ordeal

Re: whats up with SSB Magazine..

The magazine is called Super Street Bike not Super Stunt Bike, so why hate on them because they run articles on other bikes than just stunt bikes. Besides a few people have already mentioned that it is winter time right now.
Ryan you keep bitchin about they wont run your stories but at the same time say they have already ran the stories the first time you went to china. Big deal you went back to china, i dont want to read about that again just because more people showed up this time. And last i checked stunt riders buy very little product for their clapped out **** box stunt bikes and like it or not magazines are just glorified catalogs designed to sell **** we dont really need but just gotta have. So get over it dont buy the magazine if you think it sux but quit crying about it here, you sound like a little bitch that needs a manpon!!!

dude, it wasn't just a "trip" to china that had a few more fans show up, it was the first american stunt team performing on a front stretch of a MOTO GP round......the BIGGEST racing circuit in the ******* world.

Re: whats up with SSB Magazine..

Every magazine has to change it's format a bit. SSB will probably circle back around and start putting more stunt articles in there. SSB isn't solely based on Stunting, so let them put other stuff in there for a couple of months so they can make everyone happy.

Yeah, Big Dave did say the exposure was a bit overkill. Maybe they are just giving it a rest for a bit????

They have to be, I mean there was 2 or 3 months there where it was probably 60% stunting and 40% Busas... now it's flip flopped, if not more. But again, it's not a "stunting" magazine so they have to endorse the "sport" as a whole... not just an individual part of the sport which would be stunting.

Re: whats up with SSB Magazine..

Distribution/sales of SSB grew with the stunt content to custom bike ratio as it was in the last 3 or so years...

Just b/c it grew doesn't mean a change of pace isn't needed once in a while. Every couple of months it's probably a good idea to switch their focus and write about other aspects of this sport other than stunting.
