Which PVM to use?

Which PVM master is the best one for a handbrake setup? They make two that I have seen, clutch and front radial master. So which one is better?

Re: Which PVM to use?

Re: Which PVM to use?

I use an 05 gxsr radial, works great. Brembo 16x18 is supposed to be best if you can find or afford one.

I use the 16 x 17 pvm ( not the clutch master) master cylinder and its awesome , big *** money but by far the best **** i have ever used ! the only other one they make is 17 xx 20 i think and the guy who works there said not to use that for a handbrake .

what's the benefit of a 16x17 PVM over the 16x18 Brembo? And what are we talkin for "expensive"?

Re: Which PVM to use?

17mm pvm brake master is what I use, best master I've found and I've pretty much tried them all.

Darius=Infinate Wisdom, Does it have the feel of "one finger will save your life in an emergency with very little effort, or will it take two?" also which clutch lever do you run, and one more, clutch inside or outside? Post pics if you could.

i'm thinking you really don't need a hb at this time.

It's not my first rodeo friend, what makes you think I don't need a handbrake?

Re: Which PVM to use?

Oh and about my first two posts, Matt Gorka said, "its genious to copy what works instead of failing with everything yourself" You see I'm simply seeing what works...before I spend 1000$ I want to know what to get for my money. And for further info I have the Brembo setup right now an used it on my R1's that I had before this one and just wondered if there was a step up from my setup...

oh i didn't realize this was teach-and-daruis-recommendations-for-stunt-riding.com

i used to stunt a 03 gsxr 1000...i got an f4i because i was tired of breaking **** left and right...and a new liter bike isn't the most forgiving during technical stuff...

please post pic of said brembo setup on said 2006 r1 while doing anything that you actually need a handbrake for (off the peg circles and otp coasters if you didn't know)

and if you actually have the brembo master you would already know which pvm unit to use...and wouldn't ask stupid questions like clutch or brake master??

soo yea go waste $400 on something you don't need and have a nice day.

Re: Which PVM to use?

Ok... personal observation here... and although this is not directed at anyone in particular... prepare to have feathers ruffled!

In general, people who ride R1's are usually 100mph power wheelie queens... who are on this bike solely for the bling/fast factor.... nothing more. And would like a handbrake because they think that somehow it's going to be easier to use/learn than the foot brake. And more importantly, for the ever popular "stunter" look. (for example: same people that have un-touched chrome crash cages/12bars ect).

If anybody is rocking a proper brembo setup and needs a "step up" ...the only step up is gonna be "look at my pimp hb, cool huh".

Exception to the rule: Darius of course, who can use bling, crazy, super-expensive parts on any bike he choose's because he has the skills of a super hero.

Sorry if I offended anyone
