Weld it to your frame soo it wont have the possibility of ever coming off.

Re: welding the subframe

I'm not a huge fan of welding, I like to put steel reinforcements on. A lot of guys will tell you the f4i doesn't need it, and they are probably right. Infact no bike should need it: If you have a short 12 bar, or a round bar, and some throttle control, you shouldn't be slamin the subframe anyway.

Out of habit (owning a gixxer for a long time) I reinforced mine anyway.....

Re: welding the subframe

Never have had to reinforce mine, but I do need to tighten all my bolts up a lot. Thing comes loose all the time.

Re: welding the subframe

It's the bolts on the back of my subframe. They come loose no matter what, even with RED locktite. I like to do bar tricks and usually always rock foot on the seat and it just wiggles loose over time.

ahahah you do bar tricks!!! ahahhaha

only issues i've had w a f4i subframe is if your pegs out and it pancakes, it can crack the pass peg bracket tabs... mine is cracked big time, haven't been able to do staggered in like 7 months.

Don't lie dude, just tell everyone the truth that F4i rear peg mounts have a weight limit and anything over 300lbs will snap them like a twig. Lose some weight fatty!

Re: welding the subframe

You don't need to reinforce it.

If you hit it hard enough to break the stock one then I doubt reinforcements would help (something else will break or it will just tweak bad or something).

Like I said, you don't need to reinforce your subframe.

I've popped out my clutch while doing a rev limiter coaster and my rear wheel came off the ground I hit my bar so hard yet my subframe did not budge.

If anything, a tail is going to slightly lower the cushion the impact on your subframe if you loop out.

Quit worrying so much and go practice.

Re: welding the subframe

If you use an FI 12 bar you won't have any problems!! But if you weld up your own 12 bar and it's ridiculously heavy well then you'll snap your subframe pretty easy.
