I am wondering if anyone has wheelied on astro turf? Apperantly you can drive a car on it but you cant turn the tyres , i get to practice this satarday but any tips would be appreciated thanks.

 

You can turn on astro turf.....I'll just say I know some ppl that drove on an astro turf football field *somewhere* one time and they was able to turn

 

without wrecking it? i guess it folds and breaks

so rode the turf traction not an issue but it has a thick rubber underlay that made it feel like ridin in a few inches of sand or like riding a flat tyre. same thing on the 50

 

pictures??? and what was the traction like???

 

yup, wheelying fiddys is hard on that stuff....big bikes a little easier, but still kinda sucks

 

Ah, good thread! This was a topic of debate among us at the Monster truck show with Steve & I, Woods, Jesse & Gates. The surface SUCKED, what with being an indoor arena with polished concrete + Monster truck hydraulic oil + kitty litter. Couldn't wheelie for ****! Hell, you saw what happened to Gates, that lil clip in JD4 was from that night.
So to bring up another question we had from our possible mobile show surfaces discussion, has anyone ever had some opportunity to ride on rubberized matting, etc?

 

I have a little secret for those concrete surfaces. PM me for details.
