Which setup for gsxr 6?

ok so i wrecked my 97 gsxr srad really bad and i got hurt pretty bad, but i'm rebuilding my bike now. I decided to take off all the plastics besides the tail section, which I am making a custom shorty tail.
so im going to stunt this thing out, i already have a -1 +3 gears. i want a cage, but dont want something huge. also i know i want db bars, but need to be able to fit my gpr stablizer with it.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks.

Re: Which setup for gsxr 6?

yea good idea getting rid of that huge a$$ tail section, get a FI cage if you don't plan on laying it down too often (they bend a little) but look great and have replaceable ends instead of repainting your cage everytime it goes down and looks crappy. good luck and ride safe

Re: Which setup for gsxr 6?

most of my buddies have powers cages, but they dont look too good. i know theyre definately awesome cages, but i still want mine to look good. i realize i might sacrifice a little durability for looks, but thats ok.

Re: Which setup for gsxr 6?

i think im gonna go with the FI cage... it seems to stay out of the way and looks a little better IMO. but thanks for the HAI website. I'm going to order from them, because, oddly enough, they offer the FI cage $25 cheaper than FI themselves!
thanks yall.
any opinions on gearing? or should i leave it the way it is? i don't do a whole lot of high speed stuff, but want to be able to control it.

Re: Which setup for gsxr 6?

um did you say the words,, i want it to look good,, and stunt it in the same post,,,,not the first year buddy,,, and if you do your not trying very hard,,,, pow pow power

the answer is DONT stunt it,,,
but on the same note it is f-ing 9 years old,,,,
i had a fi cage,, iv had a 905,, and a powers cage,,, and the only reason a fi cage is on my $hit was it was FREE,,, SI is the way to go,,,,

it kills me people get on her asking for advice,, and then dont use it,,,

please dont use the advice,, and in two months when you have craked a cass cover,, or broke a motor mount,, you will get it,,,,
