STUNTWARS - Behind the scenes

Re: STUNTWARS - Behind the scenes
I personally think this was the best Stuntwars yet...Yeah I've heard complaints about the surface from a couple of people but I really didnt think it was that bad, I've ridden on MUCH much worse. Everything ran super smooth and events were actually going faster than scheduled for a change...The drift cars and FMX guys were a nice addition for the crowd also...
Props to Thomas on the mic, he rocked it as usual
Had a great time, met some cool new people, see everyone at the next one:YEAH

I would have to agree. I actually like the track it was a good challenge for me. The way that I thought about the track is that everyone is at the same disadvantage.

Re: STUNTWARS - Behind the scenes
My post from another thread. Just my take on this years StuntWars....
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, There were cops EVERYWHERE! I did like that there was a section just for fiddys to stunt, but god forbid you wheelie outta that section!
The drift cars and MX was a nice touch for breaks between events. The vendor section and 99% of the food was in the grandstand section(where it belonged), but people with pit passes had to walk through the infield, out the gate and all the way around the outside of the track to get over there. The old guy with gate duties(checking bracelets)was an *** to me everytime I went to get some food for some reason.
You had to have a sticker on your truck to get into the infield. I had one and got to drive into the infield Friday & Saturday but for some reason I wasn't allowed to drive it in on Sunday. Thomas was excellent on the mic! Chubbs, thanks for the Rockstar hookup! Did I mention there were cops EVERYWHERE! Not only at the track but at the hotels, Hooters, etc.
The parties were slim to NONE! Best Western was like a ******' ghost town this year. Hooters was shitty on Friday night but had a decient turnout Saturday night. Murdock's room was the SHIZZY!
I wish there were more peeps from the past years there....I wanted to party like it went down in '05 &'06! The riding was good **** through out the weekend!!! Aaron Colton tore **** up! My favorite rider of the weekend. This was the first time I really watched him ride in person and it blew my mind!
Congrats to Crazy Dan for the first place spot!
Honestly, I'm not too sure I'm gonna go next year and I only live an hour away!

Thanks for the special shout out Jonser! It meant a lot to me to see something in print about my performance. It has been pretty quiet here on Stuntlife. I was really really trying to get into that top three bracket. Scoring was tight as you can see. Now I know what ski racers feel like. I am just looking at 0.3 out of third place as motivation for upcoming comps.
We are still driving through snow tonight to get home. It is just past midnight right now Tuesday. We should be back home in Minnesota about 6:00 AM this morning, just in time for me to get to class at school. The fact that I was your favorite rider of the weekend was just the boost that I needed to see. Thanks Jonser!

Re: STUNTWARS - Behind the scenes
It was great seeing everyone. Tice, best party evar.
Aaron Colton, congratulations, you know where you are when you are placing among the top few riders in the world. I saw a tremendous difference in your riding since Fresno. You are set to be on top of a rising field, and it's exciting to watch you progress. Your dad is the coolest dad.
AC and Christian are easily the most down to earth stunt deities on the planet.
DSOGThomas makes events better.
Christian Pfeiffer is such an amazing rider. I can see the Euro guys have gotten excited about that fast and wild riding style and combined it with the slick euro tech style. Which makes for a spectacular run every time. AC and CP are aliens, who learn from osmosis. If you sit too close they will have your tricks on lock by the time you stand up and walk away.
Scary Gary, I am so proud of you and much love out to you and your whole crew.
Teams was amazing! The ringers, (nick, kane, edub etc) looked so professional out there. The run was tight, most of the tricks were pretty basic a few hair raising moments, it was the choreography and the look of practiced moves took their run to the podium.
Arron (hehe) Twite I love your acros. In fact for teams I thought Tice, Brunelle and Twites team had more astonishing tricks, they just weren't as pulled together. The crowd was going crazy through the whole day sunday. Great to be at an event where the crowd really makes some noise.
It was great, I heart stuntwars.
Everyone who bet I'd get laid this weekend please pass the money to those who know what's up.
