I wadded myself pretty good last week and broke my foot in the process. Up until now, I have been wearing skate shoes, Etnies, cuz I would have good feel of the controls.

I wrecked on the street, and my left shoe flew off and the cage or somethin broke my foot. Both my feet are jacked up, my left one is broken and in a cast, and the right one is black and blue.

What does everyone wear that provides a decent amount of protection, but you can still feel the controls and the pegs?

I know Alpinestar makes a "stunt shoe," does anyone wear those?

 

a freind of mine has them ...im gonna get some but realy if you crash bad your shoes wont save your feet unless you have like dirt bike boots on

 

yeah, i hear ya. And then you wont even feel the controls with bulky boots on.

You always see the vids where people shoes go flyin. I think my shoes would have stayed on, but the bike crashed on top of me.

seen many broken feet in the last few months it must be the time of year for it lol ...

yea , i just run skate shoes . either dc's or etnies... and if i have a good crash my left one is gone !!! thats how i know if i had a good crash or just a lil misshap .

 

Mid or high top skate shoes might help stay on
but any "sneaker" wont protect much

 

ICON boots if you want protection, or if you are a gangster wear sandals like all of the O-town crew!!!

my circas stayed on when i had my newyears eve wreck, and there not even tied up

 

i wear es koston2's, i stuff em each with 1 tri-folded extra long sock. tie the shoes pretty ight n go dumb. if u try to take my shoe off with a crow bar u'll rip the shoe before it comes off

Work boots..LOL...

 

High top adidas with the upper velcro strap. 3 crashes 25-70mph and they havent fallen off yet. The sides of the shoe are pretty padded and offer pretty good support. The bike hasn't ever landed on me, yet my feet have been spared.

I've also crashed on low top shoes. "Steve maddens" and my ankle was a tad messed up from the lack of support when I bit it. IMO I'll take the hi-tops any day.
