New Levers

Well the inevitable happened the other day, I dropped the bike and my front brake lever broke clean off. I knew it was going to happen with those shitty fake carbon fiber ones that were on there when I bought the bike.

Anyways if I am going to replace my levers I would rather go ahead and buy some that bend all the way back so that I dont have to keep replacing shitty ones every time they break.

Where can I get a descent pair that bend all the way back for a fair price. Ive looked at some that my friend told me about but theyre like 200 bucks a pair.

Funny you should say that because ive dropped my bike a bunch of times with NO cage and now I just put my SI cage I got for christmas on, and first drop it broke the lever..

When it dropped it rolled over the cage and onto the bar and windscreen....but I think a set of those little sliders they sell for the end of the cage will cure that

thanks for all the advice guys..

Re: New Levers

Cut the levers and maybe even turn the bars out a little if not already turned out. None of my three levers have touched with any of my cages that I have run, F.I. Race railz or S.I. And I have had some hard drops from 12, scrapes gone wrong, and flipped stoppies..

The S.I. does have the sliders on it but from further inspection and talking to some other guys they said if it ever drops hard enough to break them off it will push the bolt up inside of it and make it near immposible to get out. I might be ditching these sliders before that happens to me...

The SI sliders won't break off... they're soft so they just distort or kinda smoosh. And even if you did break the end off all you'd have to do is drill it out.

My sliders outlasted the cage itself.
