You've just proved a very important internet message board point....

If you don't know what you're talking about you should keep it to yourself.

all i saw was for use with narrow rotors ....the light rotors have a smaller area for the brake pad....i didnt see any thing that said there was a different caliper for floating rotors ...

Re: Feedback on Ho Hey's Dual caliper bracket

(the caliper in question is mounted on the rear wheel)

i have seen hoses that got pinched/streched act like a check valve inside and not let fluid return to the master..

And that would mean that the caliper is not releasing for some reason , right ?

Re: Feedback on Ho Hey's Dual caliper bracket

yeah, there would be pressure trapped inside of the caliper, but to cause a set of pads to be gone in a day? his rotor would be purple and most likely junk too... that thing would be smokng and howling and tearing a whole in the universe.

Re: Feedback on Ho Hey's Dual caliper bracket

well if it did wear a new set of pads out, it isnt a misalignment problem...

Re: Feedback on Ho Hey's Dual caliper bracket

i dont think its what type of pads he used. i remember when i started stunting that i didnt know how to use the rear brake right. so i would just drag the brake the whole time instead of tapping it when i needed it. i think that he just threw on brand new pads and didnt break them in right and thats why he is burning through them in a day. i have burned through pads in a week but not in a day.

like i said i have only rode 3 times with this bracket but i have not had those problems. i will look at my pads ( which were both used when i put the calipers on ) tomorrow and see if they look different in any way

Re: Feedback on Ho Hey's Dual caliper bracket

My pads have the same wear pattern... but not quite as smoked as yours. Keep in mind this is almost a full month of wear... but parking lot only... mostly circles, couple of 30 or 40mph max coasters...
