This thread has gone way off topic, but I would like to say that I think it is a bunch of , particularly the way Shuggs lets Cathi be the bad guy and only shows his face for a post here and there to attempt to save face. He needs to man up......

 

views and content draw bandwidth, advertisers are willing to pay for people to see their ads hence paying for the bandwidth. It's all about the marketing. I know a message board that has less members and pulls 10k / month in ad revenue. If anyone wants some more info they can PM me.

 

There is no doubt that a site of this size should be able to make more than enough to cover its costs IF the people at the helm knew what they were doing. At this point however I am not to sure they do....

So far all they have accomplished is pissing off its loyal user base...Which is not a good sign..

yeah I got that feeling as well....Thats the problem. This site is nothing more than a public IP, Vbulletin s/w, a server or 2, probably a SQL or MYSQL DB and some web admin knowledge..Some of us do that on a daily basis.
Even from a pure bandwidth perspective i cant see the monthly #'s being to high b/c it doesnt host video or other large files...

I had to laugh at Shuggs comment about it being top 550 forum in the world. So what ! It sure aint in the top 550 revenue generating forums in the world cus if it was, they wouldnt be running around deleting stunter threads about selling parts and dvd's...trying to ensure they get their advertising cut from teams who are just trying to get by.

without "stunters" there would be no stuntlife

i dont think it should be a big deal for someone to post a thread, about a dvd they are releasing or a shop they like or something...most likely they wont get rich off it. especially from the "exposure" it got from a thread on stuntlife.

i highly doubt a thread within the forum is generate enough income for you head **** to worry about.
but yeah, companies like google and **** like that hell yeah they gotta pay, they are not the ones out there puttin their blood sweat and tears, into this thing of ours...

and how can you compare a thread topic, to a front page banner.......retards

 

EXACTLY....If this site was relying on the revenue generated from
Stunters advertising on this site, well there lies the problem..and probably the reason why financially this place is hurting...
