Cracked stator cover "pics"
Hey guys. I finally got my cage and 12 bar put on the 929. I also dented my tank.
Anyway, I've had it all done for about a week and I finnally was able to scrape the the 12 bar. It was one of the best fealings I've had on my bike so far. The first scrape was kinda an accident and I instantly jumped off my bike to see the marks on the bar and call my buddy to tell him.
Well......I did it a couple more times and my luck finnally ran out. On my fourth try I hit the bar and drug it a little longer than the others and I felt like I was looseing controll. I hung with it a second longer then pussed out and jumped off. The bike went another 15ft or so then slammed down pretty hard on the left side. I thought it was ok, then when I lifted it up I saw the oil and knew exactly what had happened. The FI cage flexed into the stator cover and cracked it. Its kinda weird though, the cage flexed back almost into its original position.
Here are some shitty pics from my wifes camera phone.
Here is one of the brand new FI bar after I took it off. I didn't take a pic of the sliders, but they held up great, even the plastic end.
First scrapes on the 12 bar. The center wasn't even touched.
Here's my tank dent. "pic isn't too good though"

Yeah, I guess I should have done a little more research. I heard FI was good but, oh well. Live and Learn.
I like the all caps, you seem very sincere.

Yeah, thats why I was a little bummed out. But I know the damage would have been a lot worse without it. I'll definately try another cage when I get the cash.
I regret not really tryin to stay with it, but it was my first real drop and I admit that I just pussed out.

fi cages blowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
they brake everything...... and dont hold up....... thats there rep.......
first it was braking subframe mounts off gsxr's, f4i stators and peg assemblys, big and ugly on new 636's and would even save a thing,,,, older 636 they have glass parts any way and the cage dont help, cracks frames of 600rr, i heard it all on here..... and expirenced alot of the above......
stick with an innovative cage............ setting the standards for stunt cages ..sick innovations.com...

Re: Cracked stator cover "pics"
Anyone know if the billit aluminum stator covers are stonger. I bought one from HAI, hopfully if the cage flexes into it again, it will take a little more abuse.
