R6 Oil

Does anyone know of any problems with the R6 (02) as far as oil consumption? I know the Gixxers have oil pick up problems, but does the same thing stand for the R6? I only ask because it seems like its getting abnormally hot. I know its gonna heat up quite a bit while im in a lot but it just seems like its been getting WAY too hot...

Re: R6 Oil

I just run mine a little over full and it's been fine, no oil pickup is necessary.

but when you say WAY TO HOT, what do you mean?

Do you mean 230 and below? If so your just fine.. The fan dosne't kick on tell around 220-230...

If you mean 235+ then you have problems and I would NOT ride with it that hot..

Re: R6 Oil

check your thermostat, if its running hot, it could be a stuck thermostat if you dont see any leaks.
