Show's are to promote and entertain the crowd...............Comp's are about competition.

These crowd's for SW will come to see each rider give it their best to win.
I don't think the judges are going by crowd reaction to popular riders.

saying that it just makes it "safer and easier" is crap...

you dissing safety?? ok well ill make sure and laugh when your *** is looped out on the pavement (and we have all seen it happen a few times with steve)

and easier?? so its easier to work a clutch and a HB with the same hand as opposed to working the brake with the foot???

handbrakes add more to a riders bag.. creating a better show... arent you the one who said the crowd wants the best show possible??


I think you might be overstepping your boundaries in your effort to defend your spot in the sport... just my opinion, though...I like tandem, the crowd likes it.. its cool... just dont end up like some other females (cathi) thinking your **** dont stink cuz who you are with or who you ride with

I know, I know...! sheesh! Lighten up ok? I wasn't trying to get your panties in a twist, I just happen to find myself being a lil more impressed when people can do the same things with OR WITHOUT a handbrake (when applicable). As do we all? I'm not actually knocking HB's, heck since they were invented they did wonders to help stunting become within the grasp of everybody!
Nothing wrong with having a handbrake, as long as you don't use it as a crutch forever.
I've been thinking long and hard on the subject, and trying to decide if I will rock a handbrake on my new bike or not, and you know what? I probably will. Because I got a lot of lost time & catching up to do, and besides ya'll have been nagging me for video of me doing solo stuff and can't be patient about it, so f**** it. Toss me an HB and and F4EZ and gimme 2 weeks. Ok ok, just kidding... I can hear ya'll starting up your flame-throwers already. Honestly, that's how I'd hate to do it, but it's definitely the fastest easiest way to. Before you argue, think about it... it's exactly what you'd tell your buddy to do to be rockin the lots in no time. So yeah... I will probably be sporting the handbrake, so I'm not knocking all too hard. I do however plan on weaning myself off it for everything not exclusively requiring it to make sure I am TRULY capable, and not only under certain conditions with certain special equipment. So chill, mmkay?

Well said well writen Thomas I think you're right. She gets told **** on this board, things I wouldn't say to a $5 Crack *****. Everybody is giving her **** so now she put on her boxing gloves. I think she is smart and tough but is talking with her temper.
It is very unfortunate the mental age level drops on each thread as it gets longer and longer. I wonder why I support this sport. Racers are much more respectful of each other, their fans and their sponsors.

Damn... you must be looking at OLD photos of OLD comps... Where were you at Stuntoberfest? Hard to call half the stuff we did "old tricks" when we just developed them in the weeks prior. Hell, we had people using our practice runs as their training lessons! Gotta do something new & different every chance you get, cuz copycats will always be on your tail.

Old tricks=everybody's tricks.

BTW Thomas I forgot to say that I do want you to know I don't disagree with all the points you made. They were 100% valid & I agree completely. Don't jump to go off about how much I was "hatin" on HBs when all I said was Steve pulls it all off without one, and they make stunting easier & safer. All true. I only know a couple people who insist on going as far as they can without a HB.. Steve, RLX Jesse Toler, and.... heck even Kyle Woods just dropped off that list. There is something to be said for guys who can do their thing without it, but go ahead and tell me I'm wrong, I'm used to it. Just don't make me out to be hating when I hate hating. lol. Yeah I'm a smartass & I'll be the first to tell you straight up I am sarcastic and sometimes annoying & obnoxious. But you think you can throw stones? Nah... so let's just quit jumping down people's throats for every damn little thing they say and appreciate the value of a public discussion. Deal?
