Anyone remount gauges with Acerbis light?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if, and how, any of you remounted the gauges on your f4i with an acerbis cyclops light kit? I have a couple ideas in mind but none of them are gonna be easy. Squeezing it inbetween the FI clipons and the GPR damper might be tough. Any help would be great.

Why do you need gauges on a stunt bike. The only gauge I would want would be the one that tells you you're about to stall out and go flying over the bars.

Re: Anyone remount gauges with Acerbis light?

Yea, I still ride on the street alot and the fuzz around here is HEAVY. From where I am sitting there is a state copshop 1 block away, a county about 3 and the city is like 4. There is just so many and they hit us hard for not having working gauges. I rode without mine for a while and got 4 "fix-it" tickets. Right now I am not even looking for a way to mount them that they're easy to see, just somewhere so they're there and I can get the heat off my back. celgsxr, are they mounted somewhere in there? I can't tell really. Worst case scenarion I am gonna get a cheap mountain bik computer and stick it to the triple clamp so it'll read up to like 45mph and give me some clue.

Look in the general stuntbike discussion forum, there is a thread going right now about this with pictures of peoples setups, the thread title is "Streetfighter" I think, i'd post a link but i'm lazy.

Some people actually like to ride there bikes on the streets halfway legally.
And some people can't afford to have multiple bikes for different purposes.

I mounted my gauges on top of hte triple with zip ties

Re: Anyone remount gauges with Acerbis light?

If it comes down to it, they're gone. However, I'd really like to make it as legal as possible because I have no desire to have some cop pull up next to me at a gas pump and have something to question me about (then they want to look at the license plate that is stashed under the seat) about where my gauges are. towlieee, do you have a steering dampener on your bike? I don't know that mine will fit with the gpr stabilizer. Either way there'll be something, maybe I'll zip-ty it to the front of the frame spars somewhere. After I got hit this year none of my frontend is left so I have a lot of room, lol.

I just ziptied mine to the top triple. They move around now and then, but works like a charm.

I've seen some people zip tie the cluster to their brake lines and tuck it between the acerbis and their triple...

I ride a 900 so I'm used to topping up every time before I go out!
