Re: Last Second HandBrake Question

I just put a handbrake on my bike. I scored a 1000RR master off ebay for $92, and a HAI handbrake kit which cost me $111 after shiping and FL sales tax. $3 bottle of brake fluid, so about $206 total.

Haven't had a chance to stunt with it yet. it does lock the tire up, but not one finger.... it does lock one finger if I move my hand towards the end of the clip on, and that's making me think I need to put the handbrake on the inside and the clutch on the outside? don't wanna cut the lever till I decide

The only thing that doesn't make it perfect for the job, is that it's designed for a single front caliper set-up... and not with only 1 piston, but at least 4...

So it's still not perfect

WTF are you bullshittin' about

Read your own posted link:

"Master cylinder for single caliper front brake set up"

Does is say: Single piston ?? No ! Do you know a bike with a single piston front brake caliper ?? Probably not... Maybe an oldtimer

So think first, then post

So it still stands: The brembo 16x18 is build for a single caliper set-up... and it's designed for the supermoto industrie, and what do these bike use as a front brake caliper ?? INDEED, atleast a 4-piston caliper !!

Thank you...

Re: Last Second HandBrake Question

Another thing:
"For single caliper front brakes, master cylinder diameter has been standardized at 13mm."

got it from: http://www.yoyodyneti.com/

And that's 13mm for a front brake set-up, and they at least use 2 pistons, and most of the times even more...

So, do I now made my point ?

Re: Last Second HandBrake Question

I love to talk about this subject, here's another piece of info:

http://www.yoyodyneti.com/ProductInf...tid=10.5053.53
"Remote style master cylinder for single disc"

I truly believe that master would even work better then the brembo 16x18 even though it isn't even a radial one

Truly, the best handbrake set-up would be: Dual Caliper set-up, and one caliper adapted to the footbrake (best would be the stock one), the other one to the handbrake. For the handbrake you would need a 13mm radial front brake master (not a clutch)

This way you will have the best of the best ! No more pumping up after you switch from foot to handbrake. And the best relation between the rear caliper and the handbrake master cause it's 13mm...

AMEN

Damn, I wonder what "Hyperryder" thinks about all this

Re: Last Second HandBrake Question

i think best is running tripple caliper set up with two front brake calipers and the most expensive pvm radial master, btw making a caliper bracket radial mount also would be perfect. say

two 05 636 radail mount calipers and running dual lines off the radial mount master to each caliper singley.

Re: Last Second HandBrake Question

i know when i ran my shitty 13mm non radial brembo HB with the integrated reservoir it gave me a LOT more confidence than the 05 R6 16mm radial that i put on after it....

I think I'm gonna change mine around to be like that with the clutch on the outside of the handbrake. What kinda clip-ons and clutch is that? If I use the stock clutch, I'd have to grind off the clutch switch to get it up close to the master...

nice setup

EDIT: I guess the big W means they're woodcrafts huh...on top of the triple too
