Sponsors What Can You Do For Me......

Re: Sponsors What Can You Do For Me......
You may want to wait on the fake thing. I am a rookie, but I'm doing what I said. When I said I was going to show up, I did. I've never made a documentary before, wtf. It was hard, I didn't know what I was doing. I had a great time, and every time I learned something, I'd get all excited. So what you have here is someone who is excited about your sport, and willing to make an effort.
My editors name is Bill Cammack. I've got 5 hours of garbageless stunts and conversations right now burned to disc. I can already see how it fits together. And I've got a few days more of working , I'll send him at least ten hours, plus Thads footage. And we only need 44 minutes.
When you first started out stunting, did you have a bunch of magazine covers, or were you not stuntriding til you got in a magazine?
I started out making a documentary, did about as good as anyone who hasn't handled a camera before, and had a lot of fun doing it. And I put you on blast not because of what you said to me, but because what you said about me. Which was not accurate and it was hurtful.
Wishing someone luck and then saying how you hope they fail because they're a POS behind their backs is about what anyone should expect from you Kane.

Kane, I will never call you. I will see my doc aired on network tv, and you won't be in it. Your ego wasted my time, my money and my patience with you.
I still just love this sport though.
Oh ****, four tapes in three weeks. I did four tapes in vegas, the lot, HIN and talking. I did 20 tapes in three weeks. That's 20 hours. It just wasn't all you. I got six hours at XDL in VA. And 2 hours of Legion and Starboyz.
I still just love this sport though.

I DID! *spazzes out*
After I get done with the backup discs I'm going to send you big meanies the tapes. I'm not saying it was all good. But a lot of it was. The fire at HIN came out a lot better than the Pac Bell one where you lost your mind briefly.

Kane & Excessa both need to drop their pants to see who has a smaller **** because you both act like children trying to impress your parents. Really guys grow up a little.
On the sponsorship issue Jason is on the money. I met you at the Vortex in ATL just after my surgery Dave (2WT) asked me to stay but I was hurtin that night. Either way I find you a very impressive man to talk to and I love how you represent the sport. Quality all the way.
As a small company SMF Cycles has limited funds so we have to be careful who we make deals with. It is important that they present themselves in a way that I would be proud to have them useing our products.
I want people that entertain the crowd, are respected by their peers and have the vision to move this sport to the next level.
Anyone we sponsor has been by me approaching them, Sometimes even begging them. Like I said we don't have to much to offer.
Create a positive image and a positive place. I think we have done that with the crowd we work with now. I look at it as family and who would I want in my family.
The first people I went after was Geared Up. I think of them as part of SMF, I won't let them near my Daughters, but there is respect on both ends. We are trying to grow and prosper together. I am careful who I pick to work with because I want the relationship to last a long time. I feel this way about anyone who works with us. As I said we are a small company we can not take the position like icon or Joe rocket where the stunter is the flavor of the month. Their budget exceeds my annual gross. Is the guy or girl with Joe Rocket or Icon getting more Swag or money then the Guy or girl with SMF? Probably. But SMF will grow and keep the relationships it has. Somehow I don't think Parts Unlimited thinks you are as important as you think you are to them.
just my 2 cents.

Re: Sponsors What Can You Do For Me......
I don't really know. I guess it depends if you are looking for just money or if you really like the product.
I am a distributor & I went to my manufacturers and they had very little interest at first. I really had to push to get them involved even a little. 90% of it still comes from me. It is part of my advertising campaign. If it works I reap the gains.

jason britton is sponsored by parts unlimited (icon) so it only makes sense he rocks other parts unlimites companies puig windscreens, pirelli tires. and having that companies largest distributor already backing and supporting you makes it a whole lot easier to get the individual to as well...
make sense?
