fuuk bondo--Dupli Color spray on Bedliner. 7 dollars per can:

Here's the BEFORE picture. Make sure you romove all the paint in the dent then tape it off and spray away. I used 4 coats and still had 3/4 can left.

Re: gas tank bondo

use whats called metal to metal its a type of bondo that has small itty bitty metal shards in it. holds up really nice. fiberglass isnt ment to be used on metal it can still chip and come off even if it does look good.

Re: gas tank bondo

Go to a body shop and buy the cheap 10 dollar body filler. Its 20x better then any bondo

I used that stuf on one of my bikes. It's great as long as you don't spill gas on it. After that it just smears off on everything

Re: gas tank bondo

metal to metal is good stuff. A guy I know used this to shave two bumpers together on his truck. He hit a wall and he claims that the metal to metal didnt crack or break. Bondo will only crack if the metal flexes alot. Fiberglass was really ment for fiberglass. Doesnt bond with metal too great.

Re: gas tank bondo

Getting ready to bondo the **** out of my f4i tank..

Will post pics when done..

I should have just done a rear dent on my tank, but I tried to dent it forward, and got a couple nasty creases near the front... Gonna bondo over them and bondo the front in so its like factory, with a rear dip.

I haven't had any problems yet. I just make sure to prep the surface real well, and took my time doing it. don't glob it on there an inch think, instead be patient and layer it on over time, letting it dry and sanding inbetween each layer.
its all in the prepwork
