Where da brakes at??
Ok, so Installed the db bars and all. I figured i'll do brake fluid flush. I put new fluid in, bled the brakes..but the brake lever is softer than it was before... I can't even lock the front with just 2 fingers...i gotta grab in with my whole hand and even so it doesn't grab that good. .. Like i said i bled the crap out them calipers ..no air comming out anymore.
What could be the problem????
I have a longer brake line on with the db bars but that shouldn't affect anything as long as there is no air in the lines...and there isn't

Re: Where da brakes at??
You still have air in the lines somewhere... Very hard to get it all out without a mightyvac. Regular bleeding will allow air to get trapped in by the splitter or so. Buy a brake bleeding kit and rebleed. The kit is a great investment anyways makes the HB bleeding a ease too!

Re: Where da brakes at??
Oh yeah and when it comes to being a squid.. ...everyone was one before
All the stunters out there that hate on sqids dont really help this sport to evolve by discouraging the begginers.

Re: Where da brakes at??
It might be that you spilled fluid on your pads and rotors but if the problem is the brakes being squishy try tapping the lines a bunch opening up the reservoir then spreading the pucks. Let them sit for a while so that the bubbles can rise up to the reservoir. After that pump the brakes by doing a flicking motion against the lever. That should let a lot of air out.

Re: Where da brakes at??
i did the reverse procedure by put a plastic tube over the caliper's nipple. filled 3/4 of the squeeze bottle with brake fluid and start squeeze the bottle. it'll push lot of air out to the top. then u can finish with regular bleeding method.
