Im a newb and i keep reading bout all you guys running from the cops. Just wonder, cant they just write down ur liscence plates and pull up to your house later? Anybody got any experiences were the cops did that?

 

yeah well cops cant drive and eat donuts at the same time so its hard for them to write down the plate number

 

by the time they do that you should be a mile away

jus do wut i do........fold,bend,cut ur plate so that they cant read it.its like not haveing a plate on...lololololol do it all the time.....FTP

To actually answer your question..... It depends on the laws in your state/country. In california Im about 90% sure that unless they can prove that it was you on the bike they cant do anything once your out of their sight. To prove it was you they have to have someone testify against you, or they need video/pics of you before you put your helmet on right before you get on your bike.

 

my licence plate has been in a drawer in my room for over a year now.I've had the cops waiting at my house though.......they just ***** and threaten me cause if they didn't witness it,they can't do nothing.I can barely ride the streets in my city now cause all the cops know me and pull me over if they just see me riding around........ FTP

 

^^ I like you, but yeah don't let them within 100 feet of you. and its not "running" unless you make eye contact.

 

as long as you injure or kill a few church goers if its a sunday or some school children if its a weekday the cops have to stop and help them and call off the chase. Just be carful on saturdays becasue the cops dont have much sympathy for mallrats.

I dont ride with a plate anymore but even when I used to or when friends have been caught because they got their plates its very easy to fight and win in court. They go to your address and give you a Careless driving ticket, as long as you didnt take your helmet off and they didnt see your face its hard for the Cops to prove you guilty..."Yes thats my bike yes I own that helmet but NO that wasnt me ridin the bike"
