Re: East vs West Canada

Here is a little update for you kiddies. I am contacting the trucking companies tomorrow since I didn't think about the time difference and contacted them earlier. One is in Nova Scotia and the other one is in eastern Quebec. Once I talk to them I'll let you guys know what's up. I need you guys to let me know where you live and what's the biggest city near you. This info is for the trucking company to quote me a price, time that it will take, stuff like that. So if I have this info by tomorrow 9am it would be awesome. Once again, even if you are just thinking about coming let me know, because if you do decide to and I haven't scheduled your bike to be picked up you are SOL!!!

Your best bet is to have all the east coast guys meet either in Halifax, or I would even say Moncton (New Brunswick) that way all the people from NFLD, NS,NB and PEI can all hook up in a relativly central spot to have bikes shipped or whatever you want to do.

Or like Scott said...all us west coasters can help throw in our bikes for people to ride when we all hook up. I have 2 I can donate...Maybe a third or 4th by next summer...

Either way it goes, Myself and a handfull of Red Deer friends will attend.

Cheers!

Re: East vs West Canada

I myself am probably going to drive out if it all pans out. I have a trailer that will haul 4 bikes or more and might have room for a couple bikes if someone wanted. I might even have a bigger trailer by that time and will have room for more. Renting a big trailer is an option also. So Stuntdogs or whoever is going to go, you are always welcome to throw your **** in my ride.

As for using someone elses ride in order to compete, I would never be comfortable enough since it would be different then what I am used to. I don't think I would ride to my full potential (which isn't much)
But using someone elses **** to rock the streets, HELL YA!!!

As for the idea of filming for a Project of Dreams video, I am totally stoked for something like that. I have a lot more fun screwing around then competitions anyways. Too serious for me. I guess I choke under pressure. I would love a chance to rock the streets in another province.

Come on Eastern Canaja put something together, the west coasters are tryin hard to accomodate us. :YEAH

I have a few stuntbikes for the Easterners

1980 CB 750 with passenger pegs

1978 Yamaha DT 175 kind of like a motard

1984 Interceptor 500 with all new Sparkplugs

I'm sure the newfies will get a big woodie over the thought of these weapons of destruction.

"WINNER TAKES ALL 3 BIKES " and yes you have to take them.

I'm definately onboard...this sounds like a great way to bring everyone together.I'm going to think of it more as a stunt festival then a contest cause everyone already knows Mr.Chychul guarantees the West Victory!!

Re: East vs West Canada

Well, I just got off the phone with the trucking company. They quoted me anywhere from 15,000-20,000 after everything is said and done. It's a 6 day travel to Vancouver from Moncton, 6 days back, 2 days in Vancouver, plus fuel surcharge and the miles. He claims that it's about the same all accross the industry. Train is another option. I will call CN in a few minutes and see what they have to say.

Re: East vs West Canada

Just got off the phone with the rail people. $1000-$1600 per bike, each way depending on the city. So crap that idea. I am starting to lean towards the idea of having one of you, east coast stunters, rent a truck and drive it accross and make pick-ups and have someone else drive it back. I'll find out the price for the biggest rig that we can rent out east and see if that's better. If anyone knows how to drive AND is licensed to drive a rig let me know. We'll of course cover the cost of fuel, rental, food, and whatever else we can. But that once again depends on how much money we can raise.

Re: East vs West Canada

Ok here is the list of possible stops. When I try to find transportation these are the stops that I will quote. Please let me know if they work for everyone. No track will stop at everyone's town and house to get your bike, so I chose the central locations to which you'll have to get your bike to in order to be picked up.
From East to West:
1. Fredericton
2. Montreal
3. Ottawa
4. Thunder Bay
5. Winnipeg
6. Regina/Saskatoon
7. Calgary/Edmonton
8. Vancouver
