Re: power wheelie + no rear brake = 130mph flipped bike

Well,
The only reason i'd do 3rd gear 120mph whoolies was to try and stay next to my friend ryan (rip) on his 03 gsxr one, he would chase bp and I'd get tired of dealing with the traffic he'd **** off flying pass them.

Re: power wheelie + no rear brake = 130mph flipped bike

went to a wheelie comp in the summer
and
172.9 terry k5 suzi held over a kilometer thro the box like 2 3 4 5 ( same guy as last year who won)
215 mph patrick (ghost rider) was a simple or not so simple front wheel lift across the line ie not held over the 1k could be a hop in 5th over the line but knowing him prolly went up the box super stedy style
was wicked

Re: power wheelie + no rear brake = 130mph flipped bike

ill get a pic of kevins bike as soon as possible for you guys to see. his speedo read over 130. his bike is geared -1+2 so obviously he was going actually 130 but at least prolly 110. like i said before my zx6r was flat out in 6th gear at redline geared -1+7 and he was still pulling away from me. kevin is an older guy hes 39 so i guess he is still stuck in the past donig fast stuff but he says he likes speed and slow wheelies are boring. thats probably because he cant do a slow wheelie if he could hed figure out that they are much more fun and take a lot more skill.

Um no

when your going fast, the wind keeps you up.

Thats the reason you dont have to bring it nearly as high in 2nd gear on highway wheelies to keep it at speed, as you do when your doing 10mph.

My avatar, balance point at 15mph. Theres NO ****ing way your gonna bring it that high at 130mph without dropping speed like MAD

he can prevent all this stuff that happened to him in the first place if he likes to do slow wheelie. well i guess u live and u learn. i rather crash at 20 mph than 130 mph

Glad to hear hes ok man he is mad lucky!

HERES MY 2 CENTS, IF HE EVEN THOUGHT TO HIT THE BRAKES WHEN HE WAS LOOPING, IT FOR SURE WOULD HAVE BEEN A PANIC STOMP ON HIS REAR BREAK, AND MY GUESS AT 130 IF YOU STOMP REAR BREAK WHEN THAT FRONT WHEEL HITS THE GROUND YOU ARE STILL GONNA WRECK, PROBABLY OVER THE BARS

Theres no point 322efonic...trying to agrue about this because IF YOU RIDE you would know, when your riding at bp you just tap that rear brake you dont hold the brake...just tap..tap ...tap...its kinda like when ur F****ing , tap it harder then other times , but dont just hold it there and not know what to do with it...unless your a virgin A.K.A..............---

Re: power wheelie + no rear brake = 130mph flipped bike

i dont see why the brake wouldnt bring you back down. although if it did youd probably wreck anyways from a tank slapper. i can see if you went too far back the brake wouldnt work because of all the wind resistance...anyways no one should be wheelying at 130 ESPECIALLY if they dont have brake control
