Anybody else notice how all the fresh squids speed up to 80-90 (on street too)then try to power wheelie?WTF. Then they ask me for advice(I say to clutch at 40), but they still do it there way.

What does the speed your doing, have to do with your reaction time to hit the brake??

Hell if anything, when your going faster you'd have more time to react and grab your brake, since you can't just blip the throttle and loop out, you gotta hold the throttle open for a while

at 130 I imagine your front tire is only 2-3 foot off the ground...

Re: power wheelie + no rear brake = 130mph flipped bike

since when does speed change where your balance point is obviously his tire was way past 12 cause he went over so 2 to 3 feet off the ground im gonna say your wrong

balance point
is a balance point

which means tiny inputs keep it up there
so dabing the brake will stabilize a wheelie thats coming too far back at any speed
when u learn rear brake u are saving a loop all the time
thanks sparky for saveing my butt with good teaching

hope the guy heals up fast and learns rear brake real soon

Re: power wheelie + no rear brake = 130mph flipped bike

I'm just guessin here I haven't done any scientific studies, but I'm thinking wind drag at speed would lower the bp cause it's pushing back on the bike. Keeping it in the wheelie. Might not be much but think about it.

Re: power wheelie + no rear brake = 130mph flipped bike

i remember back in the day doing 120mph 3rd gear stand ups racing a C5 theres lots of room for error on height.
