to have it on lock?

I was wondering what does it mean to you to have certain trick on lock...? Does it mean you will (almost) never fail in execution, or like 9 out of 10 or 99% or...? We all see vids of ppl killin it but how real is this? Is it 1 hour footage to be cut in 2 min worth seeing, or is it "I don't need no editing" type of ride for you? Of course with more technical stuff you are more prone to errors, but I was wondering how big or often to be exact these errors happen to you?

when you got a trick in any conditions on any road anytime and everytime. If you really got it on lock you can do it on anyones bike with any gears.

I love circling random peoples stock bikes. I love doing that more than riding my own ****.
anyone else do this?

Re: to have it on lock?

I know for me I've thought I had a trick on lock and then get lazy. We can all ride highchairs, however one night when I wasnt paying attention, I brought my foot back over and my pant leg snagged the front brake, down I went.

So a trick I thought I had on "lock", I fcked up in the end.

Re: to have it on lock?

You can surely make vid's with only things you got on lock... You will film for about 20 min's and can make a nice clip...

But surely you want to show the stuff you're working on... Cause you're proud of it, and it's more fun to do then tricks you can allready do..

So that's why everyone makes a 3 min. clip out of many many many hours of footage

No big deal though

Re: to have it on lock?

id say when you have a trick on lock, that means you execute with confidence. everybody ****s up and thats what makes this sport what it is. wheres the fun and adrenaline if you can perform without ever having to worry about jacking yourself up. when you can pull off a trick and the confidence shows in your style, id say youve got some **** on lock.

Well edited riders.. Ive met many.. you see em on videos and expect them to just straight murder it, then you get to the spot and they riding is weak as hell!?

consistency is a whole style of its own. for comps and shows, i think that being consistent with what you do, even if its a smaller bag of tricks.. makes you look better and scores you higher in the end.

first rule of competition: only do what you know u can do
